For more than a decade, the Sheela and the MurthyNAYAK Foundation have supported ASHA for Women and the good works they do, serving women in the SouthAsian community of greater Washington D.C. ASHA volunteers connect their clients, who are victims of domestic abuse, to housing and the professional services they may need in order to protect themselves and their children, and get their lives on track.
The annual fundraiser will be held June 10, 2017, at George Mason University, in Fairfax, VA. Sheela Murthy will again serve as auctioneer, a role she thoroughly enjoys, raising funds from the community for this worthy organization.
